It's funny, isn't it, how different things affect you in different ways? I wrote this one at approximately the same time as I wrote The Harmony. They are about the same person. This poem has the distinction of being my only published work!
Intercession
You breezed in as if You owned my life. I wanted to stop you But you blazed across My line of escape.
Bewildering, breathtaking Adonis You knew the mess You would make of me. I think you laughed In the darkness. Silently.
I thought that sex Would heal the hurts The other had placed within. I was wrong. It just made it worse.
